Digital, AI & Data Strategy

Digital, AI and data strategy that starts from the business

We help leadership decide which digital, data and AI investments come first, based on business value and readiness, then set the roadmap, the rules for data and AI, and the system requirements. We are not tied to any vendor.

Illustrative data

Digital, AI and data strategy decides which business problems an organization will solve with technology, data and AI, in what order, and what people, processes, data and rules it needs so the investment produces measurable results. It starts from the problem, not the tool.

NXT Consulting Group advises private companies and public agencies in Thailand on digital, AI and data strategy. The work covers AI and data readiness assessments, finding and prioritizing use cases by business value and data readiness, data strategy and data governance, digital product strategy, AI usage policy, and digital action plans or one-to-three-year roadmaps with system requirements for procurement. We do not sell software or build systems, so the advice is not tied to any vendor. Before NXT, our team prepared a five-year digital action plan, a readiness roadmap toward a Consumer Data Hub and a digital workforce plan for public agencies; under the NXT name we prepared a five-year strategic plan for the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA) and ran user research to develop a job platform.

When to set a digital and AI strategy

  • Leadership wants to use AI but is not sure where to start
  • Systems are in place, but data is scattered and not used for decisions
  • Staff already use AI on their own, with no company rules
  • A new system must be procured, and the requirements are not yet clear

How a digital strategy engagement runs

  1. 01 · Assess

    Assess readiness

Interview leaders and users, review existing systems and data, and assess readiness in all five areas

FAQ

Questions before a digital and AI strategy project

Do we need a data or IT team first? No. Many organizations start by deciding where data and AI should be used first, then plan what team or partners they need, which avoids hiring or buying more than necessary.
Does NXT sell software or build systems? No. We do not sell software or licences and do not build systems, so the advice is not tied to any vendor. When a system must be procured, we help define the requirements and the criteria for assessing proposals, so vendors can be chosen fairly.
What does an AI readiness assessment cover? Five areas: people (skills and roles), process (which work suits AI), data (whether it exists, is good enough and can lawfully be used), technology (whether existing systems can connect) and governance (rules and accountability). The result is the set of gaps to close before investing.
How is a data strategy different from building dashboards? A dashboard is an end product. A data strategy decides which data the organization needs for which decisions, who owns it, how good it must be and under what rules it is shared. Once those are clear, dashboards and AI can actually be used.
Do you prepare digital action plans for government agencies? Yes. We prepare digital action plans and data plans linked to national-level plans, and help define system requirements for the terms of reference (TOR). Before NXT, our team prepared a five-year digital action plan and a data roadmap for public agencies.
How long does it take? A readiness assessment and use-case prioritization usually takes 4–8 weeks. An organization-wide digital strategy and roadmap usually takes 2–6 months, depending on size and the number of departments involved. Scope and fee are agreed before work begins.
